Grandma's homegoing was today

I got the news today that my Mom died in her Carmel home with my Dad and sisters near her. We new she was going to die soon and she had been especially struggling to let go over the past couple of weeks. As sad as it is to lose her it is also a relief to know her struggle is over and she is now with her Lord. I especially hurt for my Dad who had been Mom's man for about 71 years. He's really sad. It looks like her viewing will be at the Carmel Flanner & Buchannan mortuary on Sunday,12/7, from 1:00-5:00 PM. The funeral will be at The Church at the Crossing at 1:oo PM on Monday,12/8.

Oh Scott, I am so sorry. I agree. What a precious, precious woman and though it so leaves a void here in our world, how can you not get happy when a believer is finally sits in the company of her Lord and saviour?!

I wondered several times over the passed week if she wasn't waiting until she new Susie was ok :O)

Feel our prayers Friend,

Forgive me for taking up more... cyber space:O) Once again, I want to share my devotional for today from Daily Light by Anne Graham Lotz and Samuel Bagster. Again, every entry is purely scripture; nothing added to or detracted from. God's word is SO powerful! I believe he is speaking to you today, in these passages:

I Would Not Live Forever

And I said, "Oh, that I had wings like a dove! For then I would fly away and be at rest. I would hasten my escape from the windy storm and tempest". *

In this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed with our habitation which is from heaven. For we who are in this tent groan, being burdened, not because we want to be unclothed, but further clothed, that mortality may be swallowed up by life. * Having a desire to depart and be with Christ, which is far better. *

Let us run with endurance, the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him, endured the cross, despising the shame and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider Him who endured such hostility from sinners against Himself, lest you become weary and discouraged in your souls. *

Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Job 7:16 * Ps 55:6 * Ps 8:2 * Cor 5:2 * Cor 5:4 * Phil 1:23 * Heb 12:1-3 * John 14:27

Scottie,
I am barely keep the smile off my face, too, nor the tears out of my eyes. I'm so grateful to God for bringing your wife and my friend through this surgery. I am saddened for you and your family, especially for your dad, as you all grieve the death of your mom. Please know that my prayers are with you all. Tell Susie I said hello and I would so be in Indy if I could right now. By the way, the picture on the home page--are my eyes seeing correctly? Did one of the McCracken girls get married and I didn't know about it? UGH--but Hugs to her, too. I love you all and look forward to reading of Susie's continued progress.
Love ya,
Vickey
